July 8th Appointment and 16/17 weeks along

Today, I had my 4th ob-gyn appointment.  It was just to check the baby's heartbeat and a chance for me to ask few questions.  I got to feel the baby's heartbeat again.  :)  The doctor said that everything sounds healthy and perfect.   He also cleared me to travel for my babymoon with Daniel in September.  (YAY!)  He gave me permission to get epidural shots for my back since it has been killing me since I went off the pain medicine. 

I also was tested for quad and spinal bifina today - the results will come in one week.   They told me that everything was negative for baby dieases (that they took 8 TUBES of blood at my first appointment) and other things they were concerned for.  Looks the throwing up and me being sick all the time helps!  Who knows?  

Daniel and I will find the gender in 20 days!!!!  :)  We are trying to figure out a way to announce it to you all.  :)  At least, it won't be long before we find out if we are going to have our own prince or princess!  :)

Here is a new picture of the belly!!! People are saying that I am having twins!!!  But, sorry, ultrasounds has been showing 1 baby.  :)

2nd Doctor's Visit

Today, we had our 2nd doctor's visit.  I have been sick with severe morning sickness.  They RXed me a medicine to stop the vomiting so I can eat.  But, this week, I have been throwing up again with the medicine.  I had an embarrassing moment on Wednesday.  I had to pull off an exit off I-75 on my way home from school and threw up.  :(  Please pray for me as I get through the morning sickness.  It is honestly the worse thing I have gone through - much worse than having the flu.


Anyway, the doctor mentioned that I have to try to keep drinking so I will not get dehydrated.  He said that if I do become dehydrated, I will be admitted to the hospital and get IV treatments.  I do not want that - so pray!!


On other hand, I had a breakthrough today at the doctor's office.  After worrying I would never get to hear the heartbeats, they surprised me with a machine that looks like a walkie-talkie that has a microphone attached to the machine.  They put it the "microphone" on my stomach and the doctor turned up the volume and told me to hold on the "walkie-talkie".  I felt several thumping or "beats".  I asked the doctor what it was... He said it was the baby's heartbeats.  I broke down right there.  I thought it was an amazing thing to be able to "feel" the heartbeats when I couldn't hear.  Daniel said that it sounds like whoosh whoosh.  He got to hear it!  :)  Just had to share that with you all.


I will be 13 weeks on Wednesday.... 1 or 2 more weeks until the morning sickness go away!!!  Then 1- 1/2 more months until we find out the sex of the baby.

Wow!! A New Chapter in our Journey

We found out we are going to have a baby.  A new addition to our family.  We decided to start a blog to update our family on the progress on the pregnancy.  We have family members and friends scattered all over the USA and we want to share this blog to keep you involved in a new chapter in our lives.  You are an important part of our lives and we want to make you part of our journey. 

April 23-25, 2010 - 3 positive tests!!

May 5th- Confirmed that we are having a baby - Saw the heartbeat.  I cried and Daniel kept asking if it was a boy or a girl.  The doctor put me at 5/6 weeks along.

May 6th - severe morning sickness hit me - I did not eat for 5 days. 

May 9th - broke the news to the family.  I have 2 videos of my mother's and sister's reaction.  Let me know if you all want to see it.

May 14th - Doctor appointment - Got our first pictures of the Peanut.  :)  Doctor put me 8/9 weeks.
